An entire dimension of artistic work-the one that takes place outside the studio and the exhibition space, yet conditions the very possibility of creating-remains structurally unaccompanied. This text seeks to identify and name what is at stake, and to propose ways of responding to it.

The Echo Chamber collection is conceived as a space of resonance. It invites actors and practitioners from the cultural field to share their experiences and reflections in the form of advocacy texts. The collection brings together situated, critical, and committed perspectives that question the conditions of production, dissemination, or existence of cultural practices, and the issues running through the contemporary cultural field. Designed as a tool for the national circulation of ideas, the collection publishes each text simultaneously in several languages.
